A Fixed Mount unit is permanently installed over an opening. Fixed Mount units are in place twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, and require no preparation in the event of a hurricane.
This style is ideal for openings which are harder to prepare for storms, such as second floor windows, and is also a great fit for fixed windows. Fixed Mount units provide storm protection, added security, and sun protection.
Note: Fixed Mount units can be Face Mounts ONLY. See mounting options.

Why Choose a Permanent Barrier?
The hours before a hurricane are some of the busiest and most dangerous for building owners. Ladders, heavy panels and fasteners all have to be managed while the weather is getting worse. A Fixed Mount barrier removes that task entirely: the opening is already protected the moment a storm is forecast. That is why permanent protection is often chosen for emergency operations centers, hospitals, schools and other facilities whose staff need to focus on helping others rather than installing shutters.
Because the perforated InvisiPerf™ panel is see-thru, a permanent barrier does not leave occupants in the dark. Daylight and views remain, air can move through an open window behind the barrier, and the panel works every day as a security screen and sunshade.
Things to Consider
Fixed Mount units are not opened for cleaning, so they are best suited to fixed glass or windows that do not need regular access from outside. If an opening must be opened for maintenance, choose a Side Hinge or Top Hinge barrier. If the window is a bedroom emergency escape opening, a barrier with an approved release such as Side Hinge with Security Egress should be considered.
