Consisting of a barrier, header, sill, clip angles, and stainless steel securing pins, the Ready Mount is a "put up take down" unit that can be left in place or removed for storage at the discretion of the customer.
Ready Mount involves an easy one time installation, and preparing for a storm is as easy as sliding the barrier into the head member and securing it with stainless steel pins. Ready Mount barriers provide storm protection, added security, and sun protection without detracting from the architectural integrity of the building.
Ready Mount at a Glance

- Consists of barrier, header, sill, clip angles, and securing pins
- Face mount or inset mount
- Add full length jambs with inside pins for additional security
How the Ready Mount Works
The head and sill tracks are installed once and stay on the building. When a hurricane watch or warning is issued, the perforated barrier panel is lifted into the head track, lowered into the sill track and locked with stainless steel push pins. After the season, the panel can be removed and stored, or simply left in place to keep providing shade and security. Because the panel is see-thru, leaving it up does not darken the room or block the view.
Ready Mount units can also be permanently affixed to the structure for added security, which gives owners the flexibility to decide window by window which openings stay protected all year and which are closed only when a storm threatens.
Where Ready Mount Works Best
Ready Mount is a practical choice for ground-floor windows and openings that are easy to reach, for owners who prefer to store barriers during the off-season, and for buildings where some openings need to stay fully clear for part of the year. For upper-floor windows that are hard to reach before a storm, a Fixed Mount or Bahama Mount barrier may be the better fit. Ready Mount is available as a face mount or an inset mount; see mounting options.
