STORM SHIELD Hurricane Barriers offer attractive solutions for every application. These photos show see-thru barriers on commercial, institutional and public buildings – from offices and schools to churches, municipal buildings, resorts and hotels.

Commercial and Institutional Projects

Some original project photos are available only as small thumbnails. Larger versions can be added when the original image files are available.
What to Look For in These Photos
Notice how the barriers follow the lines of each building. On brick and stucco facades the narrow, equal sight lines of the aluminum frame keep the windows looking like windows, and on arched or ornate openings the barriers are custom shaped to fit. Because the InvisiPerf™ perforated infill has a 51% open area, the barriers read as dark screens from the street while still letting daylight and views through to the occupants.
Many of these buildings use Fixed Mount barriers, which stay in place year round and need no storm preparation. Others use Side Hinge or Top Hinge units so windows can be cleaned and maintained, or security egress latches where an opening must double as an emergency exit.
